Most, but not all his pieces, are further embellished with sparkling diamonds graded as colorless or near colorless on the GIA 4C’s of Diamond Quality scale. Some designers work exclusively with the big 4 gemstones; diamond, sapphire, emerald and ruby. Gordon is more interested in a gemstone’s vivid and vibrant color than he is about its name. He loves working with the Big 4, but also appreciates and seeks out lesser known, but still strikingly beautiful varieties. His singular focus on a stone’s beauty results in the use of tourmaline, spinel, zircon, tanzanite, Oregon sunstone and many other varieties.
