Gordon’s Design Notes: In looking over my jewelry offerings, I concluded I needed to add some yellow gold pieces to the necklace and pendant jewelry category. After considering my options, I decided the quickest and easiest way to accomplish this was to acquire some pieces already made by another designer. For years, I admired the gemstone cutting ability of Ben Kho, who has won numerous gemstone cutting awards. I looked him up and specifically asked about necklaces and pendants set in yellow gold. When I saw this necklace, the excellent cut and deep red color of the garnet spoke to me. I thought Ben really brought out the beauty and passion of the garnet! Being set in 14 kt yellow gold made it perfect for what I was trying to accomplish. As a bonus, I also found a peridot necklace set in 14 kt gold, which I added to my collection.
