Peridot crystals occur in a very small color range; from yellowish green to pure green to greenish yellow. Colors which evoke images of spring and summer. Gordon’s Design Notes In looking over my jewelry offerings, I concluded I needed to add some yellow gold pieces to the necklace and pendant jewelry category. After considering my options, I decided the quickest and easiest way to accomplish this was to acquire some pieces already made by another designer. For years, I admired the gemstone cutting ability of Ben Kho, who has won numerous gemstone cutting awards. While in Tucson this year, I looked him up and specifically looked for necklaces and pendants set in yellow gold. When I saw this pendant, I was immediately attracted by the unique cut of the peridot. I thought Ben’s creative cutting style made this a truly unique pendant which I wanted to add to my collection.
