These masterfully crafted 14kt white gold hoop earrings feature alternating brilliant white bezel-set diamonds and deep blue sapphires for a beautifully balanced appearance.  The dazzling gemstones give an update to the classic hoop shape.  For a slightly different look, these earrings are also available in 14 kt yellow gold.

GORDON'S DESIGN NOTES: "When brainstorming design ideas for earrings with my daughters, the concept of hoop earrings featuring colored gemstones came up. We decided to intermingle blue sapphires and diamonds in a simple, yet elegant balanced design. I was able to locate matched sets of stones that allowed this design to be made in both white and yellow gold."                                                        Design inspiration: Ellen.

Care:
As with all pierced earrings, keep the earring findings clean and free of dirt and oil build-up. Wash your hands before putting on or removing pierced earrings to minimize the potential for infection.
Care Continued:
When dressing, fine jewelry should always be the last item put on and the first item taken off to minimize the gemstones coming into contact with perfume, lotions, hair products, etc.
Care Continued:
Protect your jewelry from impact against hard surfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. All gemstones, including diamonds, can chip, scratch, or abrade under the right circumstances.
Care specifics:
Hinged hoop closures with notched posts can be quite secure. When putting them on and closing the hinge, listen for the post to click in place. Gently try to pull the front hinged section from the back section to assure the post is securely in place.
Care Specifics Continued:
To remove hinged hoop earrings, gently push up on the post to release the notch from the hoop back.
Care Specifics Continued:
Hinged hoop earrings are able to handle significant wear and tear, but they do have limits. Pulling, squeezing or pushing them too hard can result in damage to the hinges or bending the post, which can lead to loss of the earring.
Care Specifics Continued:
To minimize the potential for earring loss, regularly inspect the closure findings for damage and wear. If in doubt, ask a jewelry professional to inspect the earrings.
Care Specifics Continued:
With wear, rhodium plating can thin to the point where a yellowish tinge may show through. Periodic re-coating with rhodium will revive the original bright white color. Re-plating does not damage the gemstones.
Cleaning:
The best method for cleaning all your jewelry is to soak each item in a mixture of lukewarm water and gentle dish washing liquid followed by a very light cleaning with a soft child’s toothbrush.
Additional Cleaning Instructions:
Place the item(s) in a fine mesh strainer and rinse to remove the soap. Gently place each item on a lintfree cloth and softly pat them dry. See the Care and Cleaning Section of the Website for a more detailed explanation.
