This beautiful spider web inspired design with dazzling diamonds surrounding a vivid bluish violet tanzanite center stone is just waiting to adorn the right neckline. The vivid color of this radiant Tanzanite is the spotlight of this pendant. It showcases the stunning bluish violet color which has made this gemstone so desirable.  The 4.54 carat Tanzanite is surrounded by two rows of shimmering diamonds.  See the mirrored 18 kt white gold sections between the rows of near-colorless diamonds in this extraordinary pendant. NOTE: If you don’t currently own the perfect chain, the piece can be purchased as a necklace which includes both the pendant and chain. For additional information, search NECKLACES for Item N-11.

Gordon’s Design Notes: I was mesmerized by a spider working the middle of a web built among blue flowers in my garden one summer day. This picture eventually served as inspiration for this pendant. I used diamonds to create the threads of the web. My original design called for the space between the tanzanite and the diamond threads to be open. However, the goldsmith mis-read my instructions and filled in the spaces with polished gold. I decided I liked the modified look and decided to leave it.

When dressing, fine gemstone jewelry should always be the last item put on and the first item taken off to minimize the gemstones coming into contact with perfume, lotions, hair products, etc.
Care Continued:
Protect your jewelry from impact against hard surfaces and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. All gemstones, including diamonds, can chip, scratch, or abrade under the right circumstances.
Care Continued:
Tanzanite is particularly vulnerable to hard blows, so it should be worn with care. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaning.
Care Continued:
With wear, rhodium plating can thin to the point where a yellowish tinge may show through. Periodic re-coating with rhodium will revive the original bright white color. Re-plating does not damage the gemstones.
The best method for cleaning all your jewelry is to soak each item in a mixture of lukewarm water and gentle dish washing liquid followed by a very light cleaning with a soft child’s toothbrush.
Cleaning Continued:
Place the item(s) in a fine mesh strainer and rinse to remove the soap. Gently place each item on a lintfree cloth and softly pat them dry. See the Care and Cleaning Section of the Website for a more detailed explanation.
