Gordon’s Design Notes: I am always on the lookout for nice pearl pieces to add to our inventory. At a recent trade show, I sought out a trusted supplier who has been trading in pearls for over 60 years. She presented this unusual square freshwater cultured pearl bracelet that I found interesting. Since I had only a few pearl pieces in my inventory, I decided this would be a nice addition to the collection.

Protect all your jewelry from impact against hard surfaces. Avoid contact with abrasive surfaces. All gemstones, including diamonds, can chip, scratch, or abrade under the right circumstances.
Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaning and jewelry cleaners. Pearl jewelry should be put on last and taken off first, as contact with chemicals found in perfumes, cosmetics, and hair care products can harm them. Store pearls in a soft cloth or pouch.
It is best to clean pearl jewelry by soaking it in a mixture of lukewarm water and gentle dish washing liquid. Use a soft cloth to clean your pearls. Never use toothbrushes, scouring pads or any type of abrasive to clean pearl jewelry.
Cleaning Instructions (cont’d)::
Place the items in a fine mesh strainer and rinse to remove the soap. Gently place each item on a lint-free cloth and lightly pat them to remove excess water. Allow the pearls and string to air dry. Periodically restring.
