These magnificent vivid red gemstones are sunstones, which were mined in Oregon. Oregon sunstones are gaining attention as a natural and untreated product of the United States. They come in a variety of colors, of which the deep reds and greens are the most in demand.  These earrings feature truly unique matching crimson sunstones, and are surrounded by lavish diamonds.  To add even more sparkle, the hoops feature brilliant round diamonds both inside and out.  The dangling stones move with the wearer; catching light and shimmering beautifully.  These earrings are also available in 18 kt white gold.

GORDON'S DESIGN NOTES: "I like the look of large hoop earrings, particularly those with diamonds on both the outside and the inside, creating sparkle from many angles. The hold-up for me was finding the right colored stones to feature. Finally, I found these rare, vivid red sunstones mined in the state of Oregon. The color was exactly what I was looking for to finish these earrings. I was fortunate to be able to obtain four matching stones so I decided to make earring sets in both white and yellow gold."
